COALITION FOR PEACE ACTION ANNUAL CONFERENCE

For several years Grace has been a co-sponsor of the Coalition for Peace Action Annual Conference held in Princeton.  We will continue to co-sponsor this event; however, it will be a virtual conference this year on Sunday, November 15.

The event begins with an 11 AM Multifaith Service which is free and open to the public.  The preacher will be the Rev. Dr. Chloe Breyer and faith leaders from a wide range of backgrounds will co-lead the service.  The afternoon Conference for Peace is scheduled from 1:30 – 3:00 PM  with two main speakers—Ambassador Bonnie Jenkins, the founder and president of the Women of Color Advancing Peace, Security and Conflict Transformation and Major Danny Sjursen, a former U.S. Army strategist.  (More information on the speakers can be found at the website www.peacecoalition.org )

There is no fee to attend, but guests must register in advance.

"So You Want to Talk About Race" - Week 1 of 10

This week we will begin our interfaith book reading and discussion of “So You Want to Talk About Race,” by Ijeoma Oluo.

If you want to participate you still have time to RSVP. You can join the discussion group that will be meeting weekly, or you can read along a home.

If you are attending the discussion group you can purchase the book at the first meeting. If you will be reading along at home, you can order it online (don’t forget to use Amazon Smile so Grace gets a small donation)!

Our at-home readers can follow-along here on the blog, where we will post discussion group questions. You may also submit your own questions to be presented to the group.
